For more than 15 years, this South Glengarry native led enterprise transformations, built grant-ready projects, developed partnerships, stewarded venture-backed growth—always with regional economic development in mind.  Her work is defined by successful, outcome-focused strategies and praised for fortifying organizations for rapid scale, shaping regional innovation, and helping organizations execute impactful projects.

• Drove go-to-market acceleration for a Canadian femtech startup including shepherding FDA-clearance, ISO 13485 and MDSAP certification.
• Led initiatives at a cleantech company, securing over $3M in grants, driving innovation and expanding the company’s global operations in Taiwan, Korea, and the US. 
• Directed a $10M equity investment and community loan fund, driving economic development across multiple communities.
• Forged key partnerships with Indigenous communities, establishing a Truth and Reconciliation consultancy for regional development projects.

Greg gets to work using his in-the-trenches operating experience plus deep expertise in governance. Known for his astute assessments, grounded judgment, and straightforward communication, he cuts through noise quickly, identifies the issues, and helps teams move ahead with steadiness.

Born and raised in South Dundas, Greg ran Pietersma Tinworks for 30 years, carrying every part of small-business ownership from pricing to production to partnerships. His lived experience—as an entrepreneur, chair of the Upper Canada District School Board, and executive director of two economic development engines—has sharpened his strategic thinking, risk discipline, and ability to operate within complex multi-stakeholder environments.

• Advised more than 150 entrepreneurs in business modelling, pricing strategy, and capital preparation—95% now operating as sustainable ventures. 
• Led governance modernization and strategic alignment, strengthening decision-making across a multi-billion-dollar public institution. 
• Diagnosed workflow and automation challenges for multiple manufacturers, improving throughput and reducing operating strain. 
• Strengthened investment cases for early-stage founders across all sectors by refining models and developing real-world capital strategies.

Shannon works at the intersection of planning, process, and people—tightening workflows, balancing the big-picture with day-to-day activities, and designing structures that help teams move confidently forward. 

Known for her sharp organization, calm coordination, and systems that hold up under pressure, she led operations at ACCFutures, supporting regional economic development through programs, events, and internal processes. Earlier work in media and sales operations buoyed her systems thinking, communication, and ability to manage fast-moving, multi-team environments.

• Supported regional business recovery programs and digital service platforms during the COVID-19 transformation.
